Grid Release Notes

This release note provides an overview of recent updates and improvements to the Grid platform.

Enhancement: Pivot Table widget

We’ve added new capabilities to the Pivot Table widget to help you analyze large datasets faster with new visuals and interactive features.  

Key enhancements include:

• Greater control over pivot table configuration, including sorting rows and columns, renaming columns, moving fields between rows and columns, reordering fields using drag-and-drop, and hiding or deleting columns.

• Added support for conditional formatting for individual rows and columns.

• Expanded heat map options, allowing you to apply heat maps across the entire pivot table or at the row or column level, with customizable colors.

• Improved usability, with frozen column headers (enabled by default), resizable columns in both Dashboard edit and view modes, search-based filtering of pivot table data, Excel export support for pivot tables, and dashboard filtering directly from any pivot table cell.

• Performance improvements through row virtualization for smoother handling of large datasets and rendering engine upgrades for improved stability and responsiveness.

Enhancement: Map widget

We've added two new features to the Map widget to improve data visualization and simplify working with overlapping records.  

1. Multi-category map visualization - The Map widget now supports multiple category selections. You can select up to four categories during configuration, making it easier to visualize multiple data points in a single map. Use the category dropdown in the map preview to quickly switch between selected categories and explore data without creating separate map widgets.

2. Marker grouping for overlapping records - We’ve improved how the Map widget handles records sharing the same location. When multiple assets or records overlap geographically, they are grouped under a single marker with a "+ count" indicator. Clicking on the marker opens a list of all records at that location, allowing you to select any individual record to view its details.
