What's new in Grid v20.35

This release note provides an overview of the recent updates and improvements to the Grid platform.

Launch of a new widget: Treemap

We have introduced a new widget in the Dashboard widget library, the Treemap widget. The Treemap widget transforms complex operational data into a simple visual overview made of nested rectangles that are easy to scan and analyze. It can be used to visualize hierarchical data in a single view or to monitor grid infrastructure more effectively.

Key features:

  1. Hierarchical view: Data is displayed in a simple parent-child structure for easy understanding.
  2. Size-based visualization: The size of the rectangle changes based on numeric values to show proportions clearly.
  3. Drill-down interaction: You can click to zoom into categories and explore deeper levels of data.
  4. Custom colors and labels: You can apply colors, show/hide labels, and control how values are displayed.
  5. Filter support: It works with widget and dashboard-level filters for dynamic data views.
Translation support for 8 languages

This month at Grid, we launched language translation support for the web platform. Organizations often have users and teams working across different regions and languages. This feature improves accessibility and helps users interact with the platform in their preferred language.

Users can select their preferred language from the profile language dropdown on the web platform. We provide support for the following languages:

  • English
  • Hindi
  • Spanish
  • German
  • French
  • Arabic
  • Latvian
  • Romanian

Note: This feature is in beta testing. Translation of backend error messages, email notifications, password reset emails, AI chat prompt suggestions, or mobile web view content will be supported in later releases.

Dark mode now available

Many users prefer darker interfaces during extended usage for viewing comfort. Dark Mode is now available throughout the Grid platform and can be enabled from the left sidebar of your homepage.

Data import: support for importing Parquet files

We have added support to import Parquet files in the Data import section through SharePoint and SFTP.
