Grid started off as a small data consulting company for heavy industries like mining and manufacturing in East India, and we've since grown into a SaaS platform that enables enterprises across the globe to capture, manage and utilize everyday operational data effectively.
Over the last 2 years, we have been working with operations teams of some of the most asset and resource-heavy industries like Mining and Metals, Manufacturing, and Public Infrastructure. As Grid has been adopted and used by these customers across the globe, it has grown and evolved. In order to do justice to the product, we needed to scale its usage and bring the power of Grid to even more companies, worldwide.
To that end, we've just completed a funding round of $700K, which will enable us to make the hires, build the infrastructure and scale our ops to better reach and serve new customers, and to bring data management best practices from top tech companies to traditional businesses.
We plan to grow our footprint through collaboration and partnerships with operations experts from across the globe and verticals. Companies working with us have already seen over 30-35% cost saving across their operations and we intend to be the go-to marketplace for all things Operations.
This latest funding round was led by India Angel Network, India's first and world's largest business angel network with close to 500 members across the world, comprising the who's who of successful entrepreneurs and dynamic CEOs, has led Grid's latest round of investment, for $700K. The lead investors for the round are Mr. Jaideep Mehta, Mr. KRS Jamwal, Mr. Pramod Jajoo, and Mr. Shalil Gupta.
IAN was joined in this round by existing investors Startup-O Ventures (to whom we are especially grateful for having believed in us before, and for reinforcing their commitment to our success in this round) as well as some of our key customers who have now become investors in our company and our future.
